In reply to your letter of the 1st instant, 72873/1930, I am directed by the Board of Customs
and Excise to enclose for transmission to the Governor of Hong Kong, copies of public leaflets, the book of instructions issued to Excise Officers, together with specimens of government stamped tickets and adhesive stamps relating to entertainments duty in Great Britain.
The provisions for the imposition and collection of entertainments duty in this country made by Sections 1 and 2 of the Finance (New Duties) Act, 1916, were subsequently extended and amended by the following Acts, copies of which are also enclosed herewith.
